Hacker i0n1c Trying To Prepare People For The iOS 5.1 Jailbreak?
The hacker i0n1c, also known as Stefan Esser (his real name), is a German security researcher that developed an iOS 4.3.x Untethered Jailbreak exploit. i0n1c has no doubt played a large role in the Jailbreaking Community, but has a reputation for teasing people on Twitter. That is why it is important you take today’s news with a pinch of salt…
According to two tweets (Tweet #1, Tweet #2) sent out by i0n1c earlier today apparently those wanting to Jailbreak the future iOS 5.1 firmware should download a free messaging application from the App Store dubbed KakaoTalk (iTunes link). The reason i0n1c is pushing people to download this applications is because it apparently contains a vulnerability that can be used to Jailbreak the soon-to-be-released iOS 5.1 firmware. i0n1c has additionally mentioned that it must be KakaoTalk version 2.8.8, and that it should be downloaded ASAP before Apple removes it from the App Store.
At the time of writing this post I have was able to download KakaoTalk version 2.8.8, so you should also have no troubles downloading it within the span of the next few hours. Obviously there is no way to verify if this sarcastic tweet sent out by i0n1c is indeed the real truth of the matter, but I would rather be safe than sorry and download it just for the off chance the iOS 5.1 Jailbreak does rely on this FREE application.

Did you download KakaoTalk version 2.8.8? Or do you think this is just another attempt at i0n1c teasing his followers? Share your responses in the comments section below…
P.S. To add some credibility to i0n1c’s tweets hacker @MuscleNerd actually ended up retweeting them.
