Here’s How To Create Nested Folders In iOS 7.1 [VIDEO]

March 24, 2014 by Sid 1 Comment

When Apple released iOS 7 last year, a glitch was discovered that let users create folders within folders or nested folders. Now, a similar bug has been discovered in iOS 7.1 that lets you place folders within folders with much more ease. If it works on iOS 7.1, it should probably even work in previous versions of iOS 7.x.x.

Here’s how to place folders within folders in iOS 7.1:

Firstly, you’ll need to create a folder, obviously. Move an app onto another app to create a folder and when the animation for creating a new folder appears, drag any folder on to the opened folder. That’s it. Much simpler than the older method and it does work. You’ll have to be quick though and drag the folder as soon as the animation appears.

This trick was uploaded on YouTube by user Jose Rodriguez. Here’s a video showing how it’s done on an iPad with iOS 7.1.

Some users may find this trick useful, as it helps in better organizing your home screen. It could also lead to complications with things like iCloud backup. You do not need a jailbroken device to do this, it works on stock iOS 7.1 and even older versions of iOS 7. Go give it a try and let us know if you like the idea of nested folders.
