Well folks the time has finally come! The time that every Jailbreaker has been waiting for since the release of iOS 6. It’s Jailbreak time! That is right, the Evad3rs, consisting of Pimskeks, Planetbeing, Pod2G and MuscleNerd, have finally finished testing the Jailbreak with over 22 device variations and have concluded the iOS 6.x Untethered Jailbreak is ready for public consumption.

Evasi0n supports all devices that can officially run iOS 6.x excluding the 3rd generation Apple TV. The second generation Apple TV, while supported with the exploit Evasi0n uses, will need to be integrated into another tool like Seas0nPass and as such is not compatible at this time. We have outlined the supported Evasi0n devices many times, but in case you missed it you can take a look at the Evasi0n compatibility list below. As for the support firmware version Evasi0n supports iOS 6.0, iOS 6.0.1, iOS 6.0.2 and of course iOS 6.1.

Evasi0n is compatible with computers running Mac OS X (10.5 minimum), Windows (XP minimum) or Linux (x86 / x86_64). Keep in mind that if you updated to iOS 6 or another variation of iOS 6 over-the-air then you cannot Jailbreak with Evasi0n right away. You will first need to re-update to the latest firmware version (iOS 6.1) through iTunes as explained in our preparation guide.

As long as your supported device was upgrade to iOS 6.x through iTunes you are good to go an can Jailbreak it with Evasi0n.
