Earlier this week we told you about a new YouTube alternative called ProTube. The ProTube Cydia application provides a complete makeover of the stock YouTube.app by adding functionality such as the ability to download YouTube videos to view them offline. One of my personal favourite features of the ProTube Cydia application is the ability to convert YouTube videos (ex: Music Videos) to a .mp3 format for later listening.

If you are also a fan of the ProTube Cydia application and would like it to take over the roll of being your default application for handling any sort of YouTube video. Then you will be glad to hear about a recently released Cydia tweak called Open In ProTube. The Open In ProTube Cydia tweak does exactly as it sounds and will make ProTube your default YouTube application when clicking on any type of YouTube URL within any sort of application such as Mobile Safari.

Note: The Open In ProTube Cydia tweak requires you to have the ProTube Cydia app installed on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad (click here for more information). Another thing to keep in mind is that the Open In ProTube Cydia tweak does not have any configurable options and does not add any icons to your SpringBoard (homescreen).
