Chronic-Dev Announce That CDev Reporter Is Now Open Source

December 20, 2011 by Jaden Easton-Ellett Leave a Comment

The Chronic-Dev Crash Reporter tool, or CDev Reporter for short, was released at the end of November to help Jailbreak developers find vulnerabilities in the iOS operating system. These vulnerabilities are what is used to develop Jailbreaks when Apple releases a new iOS device or a new firmware. The development group responsible for the CDev Reporter tool is Chronic-Dev. At the forefront of the Chronic-Dev is P0sixninja, who recently tweeted that CDev Reporter is now an open source tool.

With the CDev reporter tool now open source, developers can take advantage of the source code behind CDev reporter for both Windows and Mac OS X. If you are a developer or would simply like to checkout the source code behind the CDev reporter, you can click here to visit the official Github page. Don’t forget, if you would like to use the CDev reporter tool you can follow one of our detailed How To guides:

  • Chronic-Dev Crash Reporter Windows
  • Chronic-Dev Crash Reporter Mac OS X
