Before this the root for the Motorola Droid 3 was a long and intimidating one. We now have a one click solution, thanks to the guys at rootzwiki.

Head here to download all the necessary files. Below are the steps listed out:

  1. Make sure you have Motorola drivers installed. While on the rootzwiki site downloading the drivers also download the ’Droid 3 easy root script v7′. Unzip this file.
  2. On your phone go to Settings/Applications/Development/USB debugging and check the box. Plug your phone into your computer with charge only.
  3. Run “Click to root your phone” .bat file in the folder. Simply follow the on screen instructions.
