Cydia has been pretty dry lately and there really hasn’t been any new Cydia tweaks. Today that changes, however, with the release of StatusHUD. The StatusHUD Cydia tweak places the volume HUD in the Status Bar of your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad running iOS 6 or above.
Placing the volume HUD in the status bar is actually more useful than you might think as it no longer obstructs your screen real-estate. The stock volume HUD is a small popup window that appears in the middle of the screen, so you really have to wait until it disappears before you start using your device again. With StatusHUD though this isn’t an issue.
Even when you are in a full screen application the status bar will still appear when you change the volume using the buttons on the side of your device so you will always know where the volume level is at.
The only Settings the tweak comes with is the ability to toggle itself on or off (no respring required) and also the ability to change the style to either square or circle. All-in-all StatusHUD is a great tweak that I suggest you guys check out, it is available in the BigBoss repo for $0.99.
