Speed Up Your iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad The Easy Way With FakeClockUp Cydia Tweak!

January 17, 2011 by Jaden Easton-Ellett 12 Comments

Many times there have been supposed setting alterations that were said to increase the speed of your iDevice. However, to be honest, most of these setting alterations did nothing to increase the actual speed of my iDevice, and this left me disappointed. That is why when I found a new tweak called FakeClockUp on Cydia, I was thrilled to share it with all of you. What is FakeClockUp? Well FakeClockUp is a new tweak that has just hit Cydia through a 3rd party repository, that works by increasing the animation time of certain iOS features; like folders. Now why would you want to increase your iOS animation times? Well when you increase the animation time of the iOS firmware, it makes navigating through settings and folders a much snappier process.

If you go on to downloading/installing FakeClockUp, you really will  feel like your iDevice is much faster, and it is not because this tweak is making any internal modifications to your iDevice (IE: overclocking). It is simply because this tweak is effecting the rate at which iOS animations are carried out, and thus makes your iDevice appear faster. Take a look at FakeClockUp in action below…

Now unfortunately because this tweak is only effecting the animation speeds at which the iOS firmware carries out specific tasks, it will not speed up the loading of actual applications on your iDevice. However it will make navigating through settings, folders, and many other stock iOS applications a lot more responsive. If you are interested in downloading/installing FakeClockUp to your iDevice, you can do so by adding the following source to your iDevice (Launch Cydia and go into Settings > Manage > Edit > Add).

Once you add the 3rd party repository shown above, you can download FakeClockUp to your iDevice for FREE. Let us know if you enjoy this new tweak for your iDevice.

Note: If you still want to maintain a native iOS feel, set the animation speed to 1.6x – 2x.

Whoever wrote this article… you mean DECREASE animation time… INCREASE means to make LONGER… DECREASE means to SHORTEN the time… which would mean faster. Anyways…

This tweak does NOT overclock your iDevice. That’s why it’s called “FAKE”ClockUp.

Thanks Ryley for viewing my post as correcting a “spelling error”… good job. You are brilliant. And if they “hate” me…how can they be my friends? You are awesome.

This tweak is great. It’s like my iPhone is in fast forward all the time. When moving around or deleting apps, they don’t just jiggle, they vibrate!

I love meatsticks like you that thrive on every chance they can get to jump on someone because they misread. Mike already answered. Your friends don’t hate you, but they might if they got offline and actually met you.
