Corona iOS 5.0.1 Untethered Jailbreak Released Into Cydia! [Cydia Package Untethered Jailbreak]

While the iPhone Dev-Team have released RedSn0w 0.9.10b1 and PwnageTool 5.0.1 to Jailbreak the iOS 5.0.1 firmware Untethered. Chronic-Dev, the Dev-Team who originally received Pod2G’s Untethered Jailbreak exploit, have released their form of the iOS 5.0.1 Untethered Jailbreak dubbed Corona. The Corona iOS 5.0.1 Untethered Jailbreak is actually the first Cydia based Jailbreak. In the fact that all you need to do is install the Corona 5.0.1 Untether Cydia package to your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to be Jailbroken Untethered on the iOS 5.0.1 firmware. Corona 5.0.1 Untether supports all iOS devices that can run the iOS 5.0.1 firmware, except the iPhone 4S and iPad 2.

Corona 5.0.1 Untether Supports: 

  • iPhone 4 (GSM and CDMA)
  • iPhone 3GS
  • iPod Touch 4G
  • iPod Touch 3G
  • First Generation iPad

The Corona 5.0.1 Untether Cydia package means you do not need to use an external tool such as RedSn0w or the PwnageTool to Jailbreak your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad running the iOS 5.0.1 firmware. Simply navigate to Cydia, search for Corona 5.0.1 Untether and install it to your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.

    refresh cydia and it will show up. Same thing happened to me.

    iPhone 3GS on 6.15.00 baseband tethered brings up an error while downloading this package. How can I fix this?

    guys, if u cant find corona 5.0.1 untethered, just go to changes in cydia then upgrade, it will appear , worked for me

    Hi, i have an iPhone 3GS NEW bootrom on iOS 5.0.1, if i were to use Sn0wBreeze to jailbreak the phone (thethered for new bootroom users), and i were to install this through cydia, would the jailbreak become no longer a tethered one?

    HI! I have a iphone 4, running on the 4.2.1 version. My phone is already jailbreak. I go into Cydia and a message pop up, ” This version of Cydia is no longer supported, Please upgrade to 1.1.X at your earliest convenience.  I refresh Cydia but it won’t let me upgrade to the new version of Cydia. Please help!! How do I get the new Cydia 1.1? Thx for the help!

    i had the same problem, i was playing virtual families and i changed the date and time to 2024. all you have to do is go into settings, general, date and time and make sure you have the right time and date set, apply a theme and respring, re-open cydia and that should solve the problem.

    I am having the same problem with corona saying it cannot comply. How do I fixed this? I have am iPod 3G on 5.1 updated and use redsnow to jailbreak it.
