Chronic-Dev, the Dev-Team who originally received Pod2G’s Untethered Jailbreak exploit, have released their form of the iOS 5.0.1 Untethered Jailbreak dubbed Corona. The Corona iOS 5.0.1 Untethered Jailbreak is actually the first Cydia based Jailbreak. In the fact that all you need to do is install the Corona 5.0.1 Untether Cydia package to your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to be Jailbroken Untethered on the iOS 5.0.1 firmware. Corona 5.0.1 Untether supports all iOS devices that can run the iOS 5.0.1 firmware, except the iPhone 4S and iPad 2.
Corona 5.0.1 Untether Supports:
- iPhone 4 (GSM and CDMA)
- iPhone 3GS
- iPod Touch 4G
- iPod Touch 3G
- First Generation iPad
The Corona 5.0.1 Untether Cydia package means you do not need to use an external tool such as RedSn0w or the PwnageTool to Jailbreak your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad running the iOS 5.0.1 firmware. Simply navigate to Cydia, search for Corona 5.0.1 Untether and install it to your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.
