If there is one application that usually ends up being neglected on your iPhone it is probably the Compass app. Have you ever used the Compass app on your iPhone? How many times have you opened and used the Compass application?
Wouldn’t it be better if you could access the Compass functionality without actually having to launch an application? Well if you answered yes to that question and like little status bar icons that notify you, then you are going to love this up and coming Cydia tweak.
There is a new and free tweak called DirectionBar created by Rudolf Lichtner that has just been released into Cydia. This tweak adds a little compass icon to your status bar which updates in real time and points North. Since the tweak is always running in the background it will show up in the Status Bar while using other applications, messing around on the LockScreen and the SpringBoard.
The icon in the Status Bar by default is set to a red and white color. In addition, the icon will be theme-able with 9 other options to choose from. More compass icons will also be available for download in Cydia shortly.
As mentioned previously DirectionBar is currently available for free in Cydia on the ModMyi repo. What do you think of the idea for this Cydia tweak? Drop us a line in the comments section below.
