Apple Posts New Guide For Moving Content From Android Phone To iPhone

September 17, 2014 by Sid Leave a Comment

This is a first! Apple is pretty confident that Android users will be making the switch to iPhone soon. Now that the company has two devices with larger screens, which is what Android users mainly seek, Apple believes they’ll want to move to iPhones. They’ve just launched a new web page/support document to help Android phone users in moving their content to iPhone.

Android phone to iPhone

Apple has never done this sort of thing, it’s usually the competition that does this. The guide provides useful and helpful tips on how to move your contacts, mail, calendar, Photos, videos and music from your Android phone to iPhone.

There’s also information on how to use iTunes, iCloud and other stock apps found on the iPhone. Android users will find this a little bit complicated as you don’t really need a software like iTunes to move content to and from an Android phone. You can just copy/paste anything you want without needing any special software to do so.

Whereas on the iPhone, you usually need iTunes to move music, photos, apps etc. It is safer and more organized, but a little complicated than the Android way.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus comes out this Friday, so if you’re planning to move from Android to iOS, you could use this guide. Many users who’ve been waiting for an iPhone with a larger screen will probably be the ones making this move. Also, those who believe that Apple’s build quality and overall performance is superior to Android devices, will also want to make the switch.

Will you be letting go of your Android phone for the iPhone 6/iPhone 6 Plus?
