Reddit has without a doubt seen increased popularity over the years and it is now the goto spot for breaking news, AMA question and answer sessions, funny images and more. If you are an avid Redditor you have probably realized the experience of using Reddit on iOS is less than ideal due to limited push notifications.
A developer by the name of Julian Weiss has created a Cydia tweak to solve these iOS Reddit woes, however, and this tweak is called Orangered. What Orangered does is bring push notifiations to iOS systemwide including on the lockscreen and homescreen. It also supports popular Reddit clients available on the App Store like Alien Blue, Karma, Upvote, iAlien, amrc and Redditor.
After installing Orangered all you will need to do is configure your Reddit account, set a custom interval to determine when Orangered will check your inbox and you are good to go. Orangered will now work like magic and you will never have to think about your new posts, comments or mentions again.
If you are interested in Orangered you can find it on the BigBoss repo for $0.99. The developer plans to bring a ton of new functionality to the tweak in the future so if you use Reddit on a daily basis this tweak should be a no brainer.
