Less than a week ago we told you that Apple seeded the second beta build of OS X 10.8.1 to registered Mac developers. This specific update is being rumoured to target battery life issues on Mac laptops, and also increase stability by fixing a variety of bugs. It looks like Apple isn’t just going to be solving all of Mountain Lions problems in one go however, as MacRumors is reporting that the fruit company is currently testing OS X 10.8.2 with AppleSeed testers.

Mac OS X 10.8.2 Being Shipped To Select AppleSeed Developers

Join us for 10.8.2!

You are invited to participate in the next Mountain Lion Software Update seed project, 10.8.2. Apple will provide you with the pre-release software. Once builds are available, we ask that you install and test each build to help us make sure that this is a high quality release!

There has been no official changelog associated with OS X 10.8.2 beta, and due to the fact that very few people are accepted into the AppleSeed program, it is hard to say what exactly OS X 10.8.2 will target; besides the obvious bug fixes and stability improvements.

We will keep you updated when OS X 10.8.2 actually ships to all developers, until that time please stay tuned.
