Ferrari unveiled their new four-wheel drive, 4 seater, hybrid hypercar called ‘LaFerrari’ at the Geneve Auto Show yesterday. And my jaw dropped, perhaps yours did too. Why am I writing about a hypercar on iJailbreak? Well, because the new LaFerrari comes with Apple’s Siri Eyes Free technology and two iPad Minis for the rear passengers.

A little about Ferrari’s new V12 beast. This is the first Ferrari ever to feature 4-wheel drive, four seats and the hybrid technology known as HY-KERS. The car produces a whopping 949 HP, 789 HP from the 6262 V12 and 160HP from a 120 Kw electric motor. It does 0-100 km/h in under 3 seconds and has a top speed of over 350 km/h. Only 499 of this model are going to be produced and all have been sold.

During the announcement, Chairman Luca Cordero Di Montezemolo said that Ferrari is in talks with Apple to broaden its partnership on in-car entertainment. The LaFerrari, for example, utilizes the Siri Eyes Free technology that lets you control the in-car entertainment system using a dedicated Siri button. To make things better, Ferrari has also installed two iPad Minis on the headrest of the front seats, so the passengers behind can have some fun.

If you remember, Apple’s own Eddy Cue joined Ferrari’s board of members last year. Perhaps this has something to do with it and of course there will be more to come. Here’s a video of the new LaFerrari hybrid hypercar that costs 1 million euros and cannot be yours.

This is good news for Apple, since the company has been working on getting more on board with the Siri Eyes Free and Infotainment technology. We’ll see more Ferrari’s in the future using Apple’s technology and iPads.
