On August 8, 2011, by Jaden

As reported by 9to5mac Apple has granted developers the ability to transfer their MobileMe account to an iCloud account by visiting me.com/move.

According to numerous developers who have undertook the process – it has been quite simple. In fact moving your Mail, Contacts, and Calendar information over to iCloud will only take you a few minutes.

Note: Existing services like iWeb, iDisk, and Photo Gallery can be used up until June 30, 2012. Additionally Apple also tells users that the following will no longer be available: Dashboard widget sync, dock item sync, keychains, signatures, mail account rules, mail smart boxes, and mail preferences.

The public transfer of MobileMe accounts to iCloud accounts should start when Apple fully releases iCloud to the public. We will keep you updated, until that time please stay tuned…

Update #1: It appears that existing MobileMe users will get 25GB of iCloud Storage until June 2012.
