Last week, we told you that Apple and fashion brand, Burberry, have tied up for the London Fashion show that kicked off on September 16th. Burberry stated that they would be recording the show, take pictures and share them using the iPhone 5s. This gave them early access to the device, as Apple will make the iPhone 5s available to the public on September 20th.
Burberry has now posted videos shot using the iPhone 5s on their YouTube page, however they’re all in 720p as the iPhone 5s camera can’t record super slow-motion in 1080p. They’ve posted the full 15 min show on their YouTube page and it was all shot using 14 iPhone 5s’. The video quality is not bad at all and it captured everything, including the models, pretty well. Here’s the full length video for your viewing pleasure:
The iPhone 5s’ were also used to live-stream the event to viewers around the world. In an interview with Pocket-lint, Burberry CEO Christopher Bailey told them that 9 iPhone 5s’ were placed on the runway for taking photos, 3 were on a moving rail cam that followed the models, one was recording everything from the roof and one was placed outside to take photos of celebrities. Oh and yes, Burberry chose to use the gold iPhone 5s.
Apple must have gained a lot of customers after watching the videos and seeing the iPhone 5s being used to record the show. You can also go to Burberry’s website to check out photos and videos. The iPhone 5s has an improved 8 megapixel with a 15 percent larger sensor that captures 33 percent more light. It is indeed a good camera. What do you think of the video?
