According to analyst Brian Blair of Rosenblatt Securities (via Business Insider), who recently returned from Taiwan, Apple’s iWatch will have a round face and its production will start sometime in July or August. He spoke to supply chain officials and was told that the iWatch will not have a rectangular face as many of us expect.
His sources stated that the iWatch will look similar to the Motorola Moto 360 but will have a slimmer profile. He also learned that the iWatch may go into production in July or early August. Blair also believes that Apple will produce around 21 million iWatch units for the second half of 2014.
According to his supply chain sources, the iWatch will have a round face. Many people were expecting it to have a rectangular face, but Blair’s sources tell him it’s going to be round, like a normal watch.
Last month, KGI Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported that the iWatch would come in two sizes and different models. Brian Blair’s sources also told him that there will be ‘models’ of the iWatch.
Apple’s WWDC 2014 conference will be kicking off in a few more days, but it’s been reported that the iWatch won’t make an appearance. However, some are still expecting Apple to take the wraps off of the iWatch at WWDC.
Would you prefer a round faced iWatch or a rectangular one? I would definitely want a watch looking iWatch!
