As you may already know, Apple will be killing its MobileMe service at the end of June. In an effort to move MobileMe users to iCloud, Apple is actually giving free copies of OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard until June 15. This way, users will be able to upgrade from Snow Leopard to Lion for only $29.99.

Apple Is Giving Free Snow Leopard Copies To MobileMe Users

OS X 10.7 Lion adds support for iCloud, which is the reason Apple is trying to cut a deal with MobileMe users who haven’t updated yet. After signing up for the deal at the MobileMe site, the Cupertino company will send you a free Snow Leopard DVD. Although you’ll still have to pay to upgrade to Lion, at least Apple is willing to meet users halfway.
