We aren’t promising anything, but there has been some new development in the iOS jailbreak scene. iOS hacker and jailbreak expert Stefan Esser (I0n1c) just posted a picture of his iPhone 5c jailbroken on iOS 7.1.1.
It’s been quite some time since we heard about developments with the iOS 7.x.x jailbreak. We knew that an iOS 7.x.x jailbreak was possible thanks to a post from Winocm, where he showed off his iPhone 4 jailbroken on iOS 7.1.
This new picture posted by I0n1c, who previously helped with the iOS 4.3 jailbreak, shows his iPhone 5c jailbroken on iOS 7.1.1 and running Cydia.
I just leave this here … pic.twitter.com/4UzalhUGjK

He didn’t mention anymore in the following tweets, but promised to provide more details once he wakes up. A lot of iOS users have been waiting for an iOS 7.1/7.1.1 update after Apple patched the popular Evasi0n7 jailbreak in iOS 7.1.
Now, don’t get your hopes high and wait for a public iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak release. We’re not sure if that will happen, but now that we know it’s possible, maybe the Evad3rs team could do something with the exploits that have been discovered by I0n1c. Hopefully there will be a public iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak release soon.
