I downloaded the tool and when i try to jailbreak it says that “hmm.. a problem occured” and then says to try again… 
i have tried atleast 5 times and its not workingg…….

New IPad 16 Wifi, not working .. same error occurs over and over. The backup is not pushed in full to the Ipad.

hi i was having the same error the thing u av to do is after it says it restored ur screen will flash to the unlock screen u must slide to unlock then it shud say sumfin about storage being full or sumfin u then press done and it shud finish hope this helps

hey guys it’s not working with my new iPad 3 (GSM) iOS 5.1.1(9B206)…..please help….error is:->Connecting to iPad -> Sending initial jailbraking data -> Sending final jailbreaking data…. -> Waiting for reboot -> after reboot of my iPad 3 -> Waiting for process to complete -> Hmm…something seems to have gone wrong…trying to recover -> Recovery completed. If you want to retry jailbreaking, unplug your device and plug it back in……please help……i did everything written in instruction….please help……..thanks in advance…..

I had the a problem with the jailbreak. But i format the phone through the device and it didn’t worked so after 11 times i recovered it to factory settings from itunes and did the jailbreak now it worked!

My iPod Touch 4G doesn’t jailbreak,  I got a message Hmm, something went wrong

my new ipad does not have cydia after the jailbreak, I already restore the ipad and did the process a few times. Please help!

Seems like so many are getting the same error message “hmmmm, looks like something went wrong”. I myself got it as well. Have tried now 12 times to no avail. Initially tried with no complete reset, then with complete reset, etc. Not really sure where to go from here. Jailbreak with absinth 2.0 windows on IPAD2 wi-fi 16GB model MC769KS not working. Jailbreak process with absinth 2.0 windows7 works o.k. but cydia is not installed on device. Please write me a step by step guide for absinthe 2.0 windows for ipad2 wi-fi 16GB. Thank you.

I tried several times with the new iPad and it did not work. I tried restoring from iTunes and it worked! Here are the steps:

1. Restore to iOS 5.1.1 from iTunes.
2. Follow the onscreen instructions to activate iPad (set language, etc.)
3. Open Absinthe 2.0 and click on Jailbreak.
4. Wait…
The final message is “Done! Enjoy”

 I was having issues with my Ipad 2 and iPhone 4s using Windows 7. I got it working, what I did was:
I downloaded the file,
extracted the zip absinthe-win-2.0 file. (when I did that it opened up a .cmd window and flew through it loading files.)
when that got finished it made a new folder with the absinthe.exe file with the data file and changelog.
I ran the absinthe.exe under administrator (right clicking on file and clicking run as admin.)
I clicked jailbreak and it worked for me…

I figured the issue was the was I downloaded and extracted the file. hope this helps. GL all! -J

after a factory reset on itunes, IT worked. all of a sudden it said Done, enjoy !!! and i will definitely enjoy. !!!!!!

I have tried several times to get this to work. I have done the reset, I have tried it after a restore. I have tried it with itunes opened and closed and I still get nothing. Once I run the program it says it has completed and it i want to run it again then I must unplug and plug the usb back in. But I never see the cydia app on my phone. I have no clue what I am doing wrong

When it says, (Recovery completed. If you want to retry jailbreaking, unplug your device and plug it back in.) i unlock my iphone 4s 5.1.1 and look for cydia but dont find it.
What am i doing wrong ?

guys..try restoring from itunes first, click jailbreak until it says ‘Done Enjoy!,’go  open itunes restore your backup and thats it!working for me until 5 times trying.fresh itunes restore did worked.!!thanks guys…hope this would help others!!!!

My iPod wasnt jail breaking but the updated version of absinthe has helped me at first try.

“I had the same issue, but than I realized, that before I opened the exe file (started absinthe) I moved the exe to my desktop from the original folder. Than I moved it back opened it from  there, and now works perfectly! Hope it helps.”

Sorry, the attached device is not supported’ message, it is because Apple released an updated version of 5.1.1 today and it is not compatible with Absinthe. If you look at your IPSW file, you will see it is 9B208 and you need to be on 9B206. Go find direct download link for 9B206 and do a Shift-Click on restore and chose the 206 file.

If ur like me and restored your iphone today, apple released a new firmware that not supports with absinthe 2.0 called : 9b208 instead of 9b206

I did the same but when I did there was an encrypted file that could not be copied??? Not sure what thats about.

i think your problem is C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetc”hosts”
 you must delete related text “gs.apple” and you can do clean restore ois 5.1.1 after that you can JB.. ist working
but the BIG ISSUE life battery  ist very sortly

I CAN CONFIRM FROM MY END THAT THE LATEST IOS 5.1.1 9B208 DID NOT WORK (DEVICE ATTACHED YADA YADA. USED THE 9B206 AND VERSON 2.0.1 WORKED PERFECTLY

i don’t know why you copy exactly from other website. even more. you did not make any change on the page. it is the same from other website . all what you got in here has been copy from sinful iphone. i think you will be in trouble for copy right @  good lock schmuck . oh don’t delete my comment. delete your page

can you remove the jailbreak?

Do what the rest of us are doing and wait till they think this problem is worthy enough to get around to fixing it, because apparently its not high on the priority list.

i had the exact same problem, but then i decided to back up my iPod first, then delete everything on it, and then jailbreak it. and after jail-breaking it, restore from backup. worked like a charm.

My ipod ‘automatically’ updated itself, over wifi maybe? to 5.1.1 but it broke my jailbreak. How to I disable the ipod from wirelessly updating itself or, do I ironically  have to jailbreak it first.
