Siri iPhone 4 Port Is Improved For Better Performance
Siri is Apple’s voice recognition technology that has been making a lot of headlines lately. This is because Siri is claimed to be the very best voice recognition software to date.
While everyone knows that Siri is limited to the iPhone 4S, if you remember back to earlier this week we told you the a developer who goes by the name of Steven Troughton-Smith managed to port Siri to the iPhone 4. This port was very rough and did not function very well because Siri was dependent solely on the iPhone 4′s single A4 processor and not the GPU. By the looks of it Steven has managed to get the Siri GPU working on the iPhone 4 and he has uploaded a new video of Siri working smoothly on the iPhone 4.
Steven notes that the only thing left to do to get Siri fully functioning on the iPhone 4 is to get it to connect to Apple’s servers. Once Steven manages to trick Apple’s servers into accepting a request from an iPhone 4 Siri will be fully functional on the iPhone 4. If Steven cannot get Siri on the iPhone 4 to connect to Apple’s servers he notes that it might be possible to get Siri to connect to Microsoft’s TellMe, or Google’s servers.
