Apple has done it again, and for the ninth time in a row, won the JD Power customer satisfaction among smartphone manufacturers with its iPhone. Ever since the iPhone was released in 2007, Apple has managed to top every single one of these studies. And if you were wondering, JD Power and Associates conduct these studies semi-annually, hence the nine wins for iPhone.
In the 2013 JD Power and Associates Wireless Smartphone Satisfaction study, the iPhone ranked at the top with a score of 855. The average customer satisfaction score for a smartphone is 796 and only Apple has ever managed to cross the line. According to the study, the iPhone 5 did very well in the ‘physical design and ease of operation’. The study is primarily based on factors such as performance (33%); physical design (23%); features (22%); and ease of operation (22%). All of that make up for the ultimate customer satisfaction test.
Apple was followed by Nokia with a score of 795, who saw a huge increase from the previous study. Then comes Samsung with a score of 793, Motorola (792), HTC (790), LG (744) and BlackBerry with 732. The iPhone has always received good repairabilty and quality score by iFixit. All of Apple’s products are designed with perfection and quality in mind, which is why they look and feel so good.
The fruit company also started a new page on their website called ‘Why iPhone’, which talks about all the great things about the iPhone 5 and why people love it so much. One of the first things Apple discussed was the customer satisfaction awards by JD Power and Associates. That has also been updated and now shows nine consecutive wins instead of eight.
Apparently love can be measured. And it keeps adding up to iPhone. In nine straight studies by J.D. Power and Associates — that’s every study since the first iPhone was introduced — iPhone has been ranked “Highest in Customer Satisfaction with Consumer Smartphones.” iPhone ranked highest in the study, which reviewed the following categories: performance, physical design, features, and ease of operation.1
Go tell a friend about this, because it is incredible that Apple’s iPhone has been awarded the highest customer satisfaction award for nine years. Are you satisfied with your iPhone?
