The Upcoming iPhone 5S Will Likely Feature A Built-In Finger Print Scanner
We have been hearing a lot of rumors lately about the iPhone 5S or iPhone 6 as some of you like to call it, and of course the cheap iPhone that we keep hearing Apple will introduce. Today we have received yet another analysts opinion on Apple’s next-generation handsets.
KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has actually proved to be right many times with his predications, has just let loose some of his predictions for 2013. Like many other analysts he indeed thinks Apple will be releasing the iPhone 5S and a cheaper entry-level iPhone alongside each other later this year.
According to Ming-Chi Kuo the iPhone 5S ”will have updated internals, but largely the same chassis as the iPhone 5.” What is extremely interesting however, is Kuo thinks that the iPhone 5S will feature a finger print sensor. This could make a lot of sense considering Apple’s recent acquisition of the biometric security company AuthenTec last year. Among other things he thinks the iPhone 5S will feature an improved camera and a more powerful A7 chip.

As for the widely rumored cheaper iPhone, he expects it will be a slightly revamped iPhone 5 with a lower-cost plastic chassis that could be available in six colours. There has definitely been some consistency with all of these reports from analysts especially in regards to there being two iPhone models released at the same time and that there will be multiple color options. It will indeed be interesting to see what Apple does this year with the iPhone.
