Despite the fact we are still waiting for Apple to officially confirm the September 10th media event and start sending out invitations to the press, it looks like we may have just learned the official release date of both the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.
According to TmoNews it looks like the next-generation iPhone and rumored budget handset could be released over the weekend of September 20th to the 22nd. This information comes from an internal T-Mobile employee schedule which shows that dates September 20th to 22nd blacked out, meaning employees cannot take vacations.
This only happens during big launches and it seems a perfect time for the new iPhones to go on sale. TmoNews did state though “Like all good rumors, we should take this with the standard “subject to change” warning but my sources suggest this could be iPhone related.”
It could also be a possibility that the blackout could be due to the expected Note III launch which will be taking place on September 4th, but it is unlikely T-Mobile would actually black out dates for such a handset.
