The iPhone 5 vs iPhone 4S vs iPhone 4 Geekbench Comparison Chart
The fine folks over at 9to5mac were quick to point out some proposed iPhone 5 Geekbench results this evening that give Apple’s iPhone 5 a score of 1601. To actually understand how impressive this score is you should realize that no iOS device has ever cross 800 before; this even includes the iPad! Now don’t get me wrong, these results could indeed be fake considering Apple’s iPhone 5 isn’t even available yet, but it is also possible that we are looking at the real deal from a reviewer over at a large media publication.
To my knowledge, the only other smartphone that can rival this score is the Samsung Galaxy S III which has a score of 1781.
If the earlier talks about Apple partially designing the A6 chip themselves is correct, it looks like the fruit company has done one hell of a job. In fact, it could very well make sense for Apple to begin creating its own CPUs for the MacBook Air lineup.
Considering that a lot of you are probably in possession of an iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 we thought we would create a quick infographic comparing the Geekbench results between the proposed iPhone 5, iPhone 4S and iPhone 4. Although it is similar to the previous official comparison we showed you guys, this particular one is more technical in nature as you will find out.
As you can clearly see the iPhone 5 is a powerhouse compared to the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4. Hopefully these Geekbench results from Apple’s next-generation handset are indeed legit, as I am sure we would all like to hold an iPhone this powerful in our hands come the 21st.
