Insomnia Pro v4.0.2 – Adds iOS 4 Support. Keep WiFi Connection Alive

Insomnia Pro is an application in Cydia that allows applications and WiFi to remain alive even if your iDevice is in standby mode. Insomnia Pro runs as a background daemon with a status bar icon, and survives reboots and SpringBoard restarts. The Pro version allows you to enable a schedule for when Insomnia will be active. Insomnia Pro was updated to v4.0.2, adding support for iOS 4.0.

Can you give an example for what this app is useful?

I mean doesn’t multitasking not allow for example a radio program to keep on playing even when i turn off the display?

itour the half year in all country of europe, an in an open wifi hotspot with an login-proxy it is necessary that you keep your connection on live! If you don’t want loss your connection every 5 min. !

My school makes me log in whenever the wifi is disconnected, its a pain in the ass and this app would help in this situation.
