With the MyWi app installed on your iPhone, you can create a WiFi hotspot and connect your iPad to it, just like any other WiFi connection. The MyWi app is available in Rock or Cydia, for $9.99.

Once you have MyWi installed, connecting your iPad is simple. Open the Settings app on your iPad. Tap WiFI Connections. You should then see the name of your iPhone on the list. Tap it, and your connected! You can use your service provider’s data connection on your iPad.
