Hands On with the White iPhone 4 [Update]
The biggest news lately coming out of Apple is the highly anticipated release of the white iPhone 4. Finally, after 10 months, Apple released the model to retail stores all over the world. I had been wanting this for a long time, but gave up the hope a few months after the initial release.
When I first heard that the white iPhone 4 was going to be released on April 28th, I was happy, yet had doubt in my mind. I figured we actually wouldn’t see if for a few weeks later, maybe in May sometime. However, today I was met with extreme jealousy. Sitting in class, my friend pulled it out and flaunted it in my face…I almost cried. The white iPhone 4 was before my very eyes. Getting a good glace at it, I noticed a few things. Something very minor is that the white model is slightly (and i mean slightly) thicker. Also, I didn’t like that the proximity sensor was noticeably black. But honestly, who cares? I would trade in my black model for the new white one any day.
I took advantage of the phones availability, and took a few pictures.
My theory is Steve Jobs, being the brilliant genius that he is, did this ‘delay’ on purpose. Hear me out; if the white model was released with the black model, Apple would have made the same amount of money. But, the 10 month delay made people want it more, and also knowing that the iPhone 5 wouldn’t be unveiled until September will make people say ‘What the heck, I’m going to get me an iPhone.’ Good job Steve, you have sucked us in once again.
So what do you think? Is it everything you have looked forward to?
