The iPhone 4 Can Run Flyover 3D Function In iOS 6 Maps [VIDEO]
When Apple announced iOS 6 at WWDC 2012, they mentioned that some of the Maps features will only be available on the iPhone 4S, iPod Touch 4th Gen and the new iPad. Features such as 3D view, turn-by-turn navigation and Flyover, which are the most promising ones in the new iOS 6 Maps, will not be available on older devices such as the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and others.

A Russian developer, Anton Titkov (iTony), took this to heart and decided to bring the 3D and Flyover features to his beloved iPhone 4. And, as it turned out, he was successful in doing so with the help of a jailbreak tweak called 3DEnabler. I know, the iOS 6 beta can’t run Cydia, but there is a way to install this tweak and get most of the Maps features on your iPhone 4 or even the iPhone 3GS. The turn-by-turn navigation, however, doesn’t seem to be working for now. Although, we are pretty sure that it can be made to work. Check out the video after the break:
The iPhone Dev Team recently released a tethered jailbreak for iOS 6 beta only for the developers. However, if you’ve installed the iOS 6 firmware on your iOS device and want to get the Flyover and 3D function running, then follow the instructions here. Let us know if it worked for you!
