Apple released the iOS 6.0.1 firmwares for both the iPad 4th generation and iPad Mini Wi-Fi + Cellular models today, which we reported could indeed hint Apple is planning on shipping the iPad Mini with LTE capabilities shortly. It looks like this was indeed an accurate prediction as now SlashGear has chimed in stating that the iPad Mini Wi-Fi + Cellular could ship within the next 5 days.
The shipping estimate comes from an email that a customer in the United States received this morning. Although the email didn’t state the exact day the iPad Mini Wi-Fi + Cellular would ship, Apple stated it would followup with a tracking number shortly.
On Apple’s website it still displays a two week shipping estimate, but that will change when the first pre-orders are shipped out. It is important to keep in mind that while pre-orders for the iPad Mini Wi-Fi + Cellular placed within the United States (and likely Canada) will be shipped within the next 5 days, international orders will probably take longer. This is due to the fact that Apple still is showing a late November shipping status in countries like the United Kingdom.
