New photos of a purported iPad Mini battery surfaced earlier today and MacRumors has posted them. According to the photos, the claimed battery is labelled ‘A1445′ and has an Apple part number ’616-0641′. Other specifications include 3.72 volts, 16.7 Watt-hour of energy and 4490 mAh of charge. The battery does seem to match the size of the iPad Mini and has Apple-esque markings on it. Still, we can’t be sure of anything.

In comparison, the iPhone 5 battery is rated at 5.45 watt-hours and the iPad 2 at 25 watt-hours, which places the supposed iPad Mini battery somewhere between them. That might very well be the case, as the iPad Mini will probably not have high-end hardware. We’ll find on October 23rd, if all these reports are true.
