Two new YouTube videos have surfaced today that compares the alleged iPad 5 and next-generation iPad Mini rear shells. Considering that what is shown is only the shells it is hard to tell much about the actual specs, but if these shells are to be considered authentic it was stated that both the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 will have the same thickness. The only difference of course will be the iPad 5 will be larger because it has a bigger screen.
If this indeed ends up being the case when Apple unveils the new iPads it will be impressive to think that both tablets are the same thickness. Imagine the lengths Apple had to go to, to make this a reality.
Specifically taking a look at the iPad Mini 2 shell the only difference between it and the current generation is the mirrored Apple logo. The logo on the first generation is black on both color variations. This isn’t the first time we have seen an iPad Mini 2 rear shell with a mirrored logo either.
Be sure to check out both videos as they both showcase what could be the formfactor of the new iPads that Apple unveils at its September 10th event or another event rumored to take place sometime in October.
