So that’s it! We were right about the iPad 2, wrong about the iOS and completely oblivious to iMovie coming to the iPad – but hey, that’s the beauty of Apple right?

It features a dual-core A5 processor, front & back cameras allowing FaceTime on the device, as well as HDMI out. The performance of the device is said to be twice the speed of it’s predecessor despite being the same price!

What wasn’t mentioned though was any sign of ThunderBolt, but it’s early days yet. The resolution has stayed the same much to the disappointment of many, but a white variation of the iPad 2 is due to ship at launch – but we’ve heard that before right?

There’s also a new cover for the case called a Smart Cover which will sell for $39 in plastic or leather for $69.

iOS 4.3

It wasn’t as drastic as we had hoped but it’s better than nothing. The new operating system version comes with Personal Hotspot for iPhone, as well as iMovie and GarageBand being announced, together with PhotoBooth and FaceTime to make use of the camera – all of which look very promising!

All of this is coming 11th March – pretty quick right?

What are your thoughts, not only about the announcements but our live blog, was it useful, what would you like to see different next time?

Will you be buying the iPad 2 when it’s released?
