Practical Applications For Google Glass Include Raising Babies [Video]
Along with the extreme sports-related shenanigans that Google used to show off Google Glass at I/O this year, there was a more sober look at how Glass might be used in people’s everyday lives. Some prototype Glasses were given to the wife of a Google staffer, and she wore them while raising a newborn baby. Heartwarming first-person baby-raising footage ensued.
Ignoring all the tugging on your heart strings, the video does raise an interesting point about how the Glass camera can be used differently than a traditional camera. The first-person perspective it offers is actually really cool, and ability to take photos without holding a camera up to your face would be nice. The potential for candid photography also offers hilarious new possibilities.
