Since the launch of Google+, registration has been limited to personal profiles only. It is easy to make a page for yourself, and connect with other friends of yours, but what if you are a small business, or an organization wanting to have their presence on Google+. Here at iJailbreak.com, we ran into that problem with Google+ early on, instead of having one for the website and community, it had to be made as a person. Well today that has changed, Google has finally added the ability to create pages for businesses, websites, organizations, artists etc including our new Google+ Page.

This ability is just starting to be released, it is not fully implemented yet, but I am sure with time anyone will be able to create a page. The features that you have learned to really enjoy on your personal pages with Google+ have also been included with the business pages. This includes the ability to create circles, and modify them, and even host hangouts! So now a business can have their own hangout and meet their customers, answer questions, or just share their excitement with the world.

While adding the ability to make business or brand pages is great, sometimes we don’t even know they exist, so finding them can be a challenge. Today Google also released Direct Connect, the ability to search for Google+ pages directly from the Google search bar. They have made the process of finding our favourite pages on Google+ that much easier, as all you need is to type “+” before the word. Say you love Pepsi, and you want to add their page to one of your circles, all you have to do is search “+Pepsi” in Google’s search engine, and it will automatically pull up Pepsi’s Google+ page.

While some people do not want to incorporate another social networking site into their lives, Google+ does have some features which really makes it one of a kind. While many other social networking sites such as Facebook, have had the ability to add business pages, the ability to directly search for them, and host large video chats is fantastic!

For those who want to join in on the fun with us, head on over to our new Google+ page right now, which can be accessed by clicking RIGHT HERE!
