PlayStation Vita Features Killer Specs [Release Date Is February Next Year]

All of us Sony lovers were wondering, when is the PlayStation Vita going to come out? Yesterday night, the PlayStation Vita release date was announced.

For the US, Canada, Latin America and Europe, it will be out on the 22nd of February (2012). Prices are still $250 for the WiFi and $300 for the WiFi /w 3G (AT&T). Now, for those who don’t know what the PlayStation Vita is, it’s a legendary device. Fast? Hell yeah. It contains a quad-core processor and the SGX5434MP4+, which is also a quad-core GPU. It’s literally a dream for gamers. Killzone on-the-go? That sounds good.

This will be Sony’s first attempt at touch-screen gaming and it will be direct competition for Nintendo’s never ending line of DS’s and Apple’s iPod Touch.

This will blow anything Nintendo has made out of the water…again. And the iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch cannot compare. Personally I hate playing games on the iDevices when they have those “built-in-simulated” analog sticks/D-Pads/etc. It just doesn’t work for me.

Also, Dual Analog Sticks? Yes please. I will admit I am a bit iffy on the touch screen controls with the Vita. But I still can’t wait! (and it has Uncharted: Golden Abyss, ohyessss)

iPhone pay .99 to $10 for games, phone, iPod, game system, computer for $200

Carry around a smart phone + vita + Sony’s proprietary mem cards that games come on,
pay $40+ for games and 3 hour battery.

I think I’ll stick with the iPhone and console or PC for home.

um are you crazy the only thing the iphone can do better than the vita is talk. i mean common the games on the iphone not full games and are cheap rip offs. ps vita has a oled screen, mic, touch screen, 3g and more. then again the vita has cross chat so think about that.
