Remove Background SBSettings – Kills Background Applications

On August 15, 2010, by Dusty

Remove Background SBSettings is a new toggle (enable/disable) that removes all applications for the task switcher and kills their processes too.

Note: SBSettings is required. Read our guide here on how to install.

Remove Background SBSettings is available in Cydia via BigBoss repository for free.

This is great. Would be perfect if you could use an exceptions list. Then you could for example kill all background apps except mail, iPod and safari… Let’s hope…

This entry is filed under the category of iPad but it seems to be IOS 4 specific.
it failed on OS dependency when I tried to install it.

I prefer “Remove Recents”. It auto kills anything that is not truly running in the background, clearing up the task switcher. I guess this would be fine on older devices, if you’re having battery issues.

It says in the official description (@Cydia for example):
You can set Activator and except apps from the removal.

Where the **** do you get that exceptions list menu screen that I’ve seen on other sites shown as screenshots?

Sorry to comment on my comment, but I just found that “Remove Background” (app) and “Remove Background SBSettings” (toggle in SBS) are independent.
The exceptions list I was looking for only exist in “Remove Background” app.
