Yesterday we told you that Cydia was still being affected by the ongoing Amazon EC2 outage. This meant you could not download/purchase any Premium Cydia packages, access the theme center or even your own Cydia account.

Today we got more word from Saurik, and this time good news! You see, Saurik recently announced on Twitter that after 86 hours of down time Cydia is back operational. This means that all of Cydia’s features should be back up and running like normal.

Saurik definitely made a point that he spent countless hours trying to get Cydia back online as fast as possible. Saurik’s dedication to the jailbreaking community is greatly appreciated. Saurik really is one of the main faces behind jailbreaking and it is great to see he was so committed to bringing Cydia back online as soon as humanly possible.
