YouTube Capture Now Supports The iPad, Action Movie FX Is Now HD Ready

Google has been making a lot of changes lately, first they let Android’s head Andy Rubin resign, then they announced that Google Reader would be discontinued. Midst all that, the company has made its YouTube Capture iOS app available on the Apple iPad.

In other news, Bad Robot’s amazing movie FX app for iOS known as Action Movie FX has also received an update, bringing some new FX for the winter season and more. Action Movie FX is one of my favorite apps, as it can add some really cool movie effects to your otherwise dull video.

First off, let us talk about the YouTube Capture app for iOS. This app, released in December last year, lets you record a video on your mobile device and upload it directly without having to leave the app. You can add enhancements to your video, stabilize shaky videos, trim and more before uploading. When released, this app was made only for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Today, the app has been updated with support for the iPad and iPad Mini.

Personally, I would never use an iPad or iPad Mini to record a video, because it looks and feels awkward. Nevertheless, if you’re into such a thing, you can download the YouTube Capture app for your iPad from the App Store. It’s available as a free download, get it now.

Now let’s talk about the awesome Action Movie FX app! Bad Robots interactive has released a new update for the app that adds 3 new Winter FX and makes all the FX HD ready. Since all present generation iOS devices record video in 720 or 1080p, you’re going to need HD versions of the FX to make your End of the World movie believable.

A new free FX called Avalanche has been added to the app, which will come in handy on your next Ski or Snowboard trip. The new Blizzard Pack adds the Skifall and Iceman FX, which need to be purchased.

Action Movie FX is available as a free download in the App Store and contains plenty of free FX. You can get a lot more using the in-app purchases.
