If you have been keeping up with the Hype on the iOS4.2 firmware, you may have known that it was actually set to be released Friday November 12th (tomorrow). That being said, numerous iPad users have been reporting problems with Wifi Connections after the installation of the iOS4.2GM firmware. Apparently, once you connect to a local Wifi network the connection drops after only a few minutes of use. Some users have even reported they can not access Safari altogether. With this serious issue, this will most likely force Apple to postpone the release of the iOS4.2 firmware.

Apple may even release a second GM build as early as tomorrow to deal with these WiFi issues. This will delay the release for at least a week while it is tested, but may not get public release until the following week as it appears Apple will be testing it vigorously. iOS 4.2 should, however, come out before Thanksgiving. We will let you know if we hear anything else…
