100 Million Downloads In One Year: A Temple Run Inforgraphic
Imangi Studios recently released an update to their famous endless running game, Temple Run. Today is a special day for Temple Run, as the game successfully crossed the 100 Million downloads mark, which is a pretty big deal.
Temple Run first debuted on iOS about a year ago and then later on was made available on Android as well. It has been downloaded over 68 million times on iOS and about 32 million times on Android. Over 10 billion sessions of the game have been played, that’s about 54,000 years of gaming, and about 13 percent of the U.S population have downloaded the game. Keith Shepherd, co-founder of Imangi Studios stated in a blog post:
We never imagined that the game we were making and loved would be so well received around the world. The last year has been incredible for us, and we are grateful to fans of the game. We hope to be able to provide them with more entertainment from the brand for years to come.
