Instagram Reaches 40 Million Users, After Facebook’s Insane Acquisition

The developers of the social photography app Instagram must be very happy at the moment, as they’re having the time of their life. April has been, perhaps, the best month for them ever. Firstly, they launched their Android app, which gained success instantaneously. Secondly, Facebook decided to spend $1 billion of their cash and decided to buy Instagram. Hang on, before that, they also announced about their 30 million users.

Now, after almost a week after Facebook’s acquisition of the app that number has reached 40 million. Yup, that’s right! Using the Instagram API, the website Gramfeed has posted that Instagram has crossed 40 million users. Instagram or Facebook haven’t said this news yet, but it can’t be wrong! According to them, the app is currently getting 1 million new user registrations every day.

Instagram is currently in the second position in the Top Free iOS apps list in the App Store. Looks like, the mobile only photography app is growing at an amazing pace.
