iOS apps Gmail and Yahoo Mail have received new updates that bring quite a few new features that enhance usability. For example, the Gmail iOS app now displays larger thumbnails making for a better attachment experience. The Yahoo Mail iOS app also gets plenty of new features.
With the Gmail iOS app version 2.4, you not only get enhanced attachments, but integration with other Google apps such as Drive and Google + have also been improved.
When you open a new mail that includes Google Drive or Google+ links, you can open them directly in the respective apps. Attachments, especially images, can now also be previewed in fullscreen. Gmail for iOS is available in the App Store for free.

Now, I don’t know how many of you still use Yahoo Mail, but if you do, the latest iOS app update adds some useful new features. In version 1.5.9 of Yahoo Mail for iOS, you get easy folder management, the ability to open attachments in third party apps and more.
Thanks to new folder management options, you can create new folders, rename or delete them all from the app. You can open attachments in other apps, just hit the share button and choose Open With. This was something that users have been asking for, for a long time.
The update also includes a fix for a bug that caused the sidebar to appear blank for certain users. Apart from that, there’s other bug fixes too that improve the overall performance. Available for free in the App Store.
