App Updates: GarageBand, Temple Run 2 And Hipstamatic For iOS
Apple has released a new update for the GarageBand iOS app, adding support for Audiobus. Meanwhile, iOS apps Temple Run 2 and Hipstamatic have also received new updates bringing new features, improvements and bug fixes. Imangi Studio’s Temple Run 2, which saw a lot of success and was downloaded millions of times in just a few hours of its release, was also updated. Hipstamatic, one of the best Instagram for videos app available for iOS right now, was given a new update as well earlier today after a long time.
So, GarageBand, one of my favorite music creating apps on iOS has been updated with support for Audiobus. Don’t know what Audiobus is? Well, this app lets you inter-connect and use all the music creating apps you may have on your iOS device. You can create an effect on one app and then connect it with a recorder app to make things easier. The app has a huge list of compatible apps and now GarageBand is one of them.

In GarageBand 1.4, you can also turn off Grid Snapping, which gives you better control when editing notes. The update also fixes a bug that caused bad feedback when connecting 3rd-party audio accessories such as headphones into the 3.5mm jack. GarageBand is not a free download and will cost you $4.99 on the App Store.

Temple Run 2, another successful game from Imangi Studios and a proper sequel to the original Temple Run, has received minor improvements to make running more fun. All you have to do anyways, is run, jump, slide, survive and run some more. Version 1.1 makes running even more worthwhile.

You’ve got more daily/weekly challenges to win free coins and gems, new offers for free coins, the ability to challenge Game Center friends and a lot of bug fixes. A bug that resulted in stuck objectives has also been taken care of. Additionally, powerups collected will extend the power of already active powers. Cool! Temple Run 2 is available for free in the App Store.

Hipstamatic was quite popular once upon a time, but for some reason, it lost that appeal among new iOS users. If you like to shoot videos with funky filters, you probably have used this app before. An Oscar winning documentary was partly shot using this iOS app, so yeah, it’s a pretty good app.

The new update, which comes after a really long time, brings two new lenses in the Silver Lake HipstaPak. There’s a new Mabel lens, a Dixie Film lens and better sample images. Lens and film labels have been added in this update along with a setting to disable popup tips. There’s also loads of bug fixes and improvements in this update to improve your overall Hipstamatic experience. It’s available in the App Store for $1.99.
