Evernote For iOS Gets Major Redesign, Makes Things Just A Tap Or Two Away
Evernote has released a new update for their popular productivity app, bringing in loads of new features and a complete redesign. With Evernote 5.0, everything from creating a note, setting reminders and accessing all of that, is just one or two taps away.
With version 5.0 of Evernote for iOS you get a totally new app with a brand new homescreen. You get five tabs on the main screen, that lets you easily access all your Notes, Notebooks, Tags, Places and Premium features. Tap on any of these and it opens in full-screen. To go back to the homescreen, just tap on the header and pull down. Also, notes list now show a preview of all your notes. Above the tabs, there are three buttons that let you create notes.
Our goal with the redesign was simple: make all major functions accessible within two taps. Achieving this goal was easier said than done. Evernote is a powerful app that’s used for a huge variety of tasks. Our team of graphic and interface designers spent months developing an approach that fit the needs of our users. From quick note takers to hyper organizers, the new Evernote 5 has you covered.
Other than that you can now create new notebooks from the Notebooks list and Places shows notes on a map that can be zoomed in/out. All shared notes are now shown in a unified list. Watch the video below for a demo of the new features.
A brand new Evernote for all you note-taking, productivity freaks out there! On the iPad, the update also brings a Notebook stack and all notes are visible on the homescreen via the new scroll feature. Make sure you check out Evernote 5.0 on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad right away. It is available for free on the App Store.
