Infinity Blade 2 is one of those games that really marks the pinnacle of any iOS game available in the Apple App Store. It not only features state-of-the-art mobile graphics, but its lighting and shadowing rendering that can match console graphics! This is because Epic Games has developed the Infinity Blade series on the Unreal Engine which has powered games such as Gears Of War 3. With a powerful engine powering such an extraordinary game, it is no wonder why Infinity Blade 1 amounted to over $1.6 million in sales the first four days of release.
Epic Games has announced that we can expect forty new locations (up from ten in the original title), many new hit points, weapons and spells, plus a bunch of other nuances and nice-to-haves in Infinity Blade 2. Which means if you were a fan of Infinity Blade 1, you are going to love Infinity Blade 2! And in case you were wondering, IGN gave Infinity Blade 2 a whopping 10/10.
Currently Infinity Blade 2 is set to work on the original iPad, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and third- and fourth-generation iPod touch. To be able to take advantage of the impressive graphics Epic Games has worked so hard on, however, you will want to enjoy it on your iPad 2 or iPhone 4S. If you would like to download Infinity Blade 2 you will be glad to know it has already been released into the New Zealand AppStore,
and will be available in the U.S. AppStore later tonight around 11pm (Eastern Time). For the rest of us we will have to wait until tomorrow (December 1st, 2011) to be able to download Infinity Blade 2. Read update #1.
