Apple began removing another category of apps from the App Store. This time it’s Wifi finders, due to them using “a private framework to access Wifi information.” Example of apps: WiFi-Where, WiFiFoFum, and yFy Network Finder.

Developer Aspecto Software had their App WiFiFoFum removed and decided to publish it in the Cydia Store for FREE! (Regular price in App Store was $2.99)

Description:

The best mobile WiFi scanner comes to the iPhone. WiFiFoFum scans for 802.11 wireless networks and displays information about each network it detects, including: SSID, MAC, RSSI (signal strength), channel, AP mode, security mode and transmission rates. The radar display provides a graphical representation of nearby WiFi access points.

It’s a shame to see Apple remove applications from the App Store, since businesses rely on the sales to keep releasing new apps and updates.

WiFiFoFum is available in Cydia, from BigBoss repo, for FREE
