Apple App Store Hits 25 Billionth Download Setting The Benchmark Even Higher For Android
Hurray! The Apple App Store has finally struck 25 billion downloads. What an amazing accomplishment for Apple to reach so many downloads in only 4 years. Apple has run similar promotions in the past, one celebrating the 10 billion apps download.

The ticker started counting towards 25 billion on February 17th, and at about 9:45PM PST on March 2nd, about 16 days after Apple started the count down the Apple App Store hit 25 billion downloads.
Back in 2011, I can remember the winner of the 10 billion apps download, hanging up on Apple, thinking the phone call was a joke. We will see what happens when the next winner receives his/her prize winning phone call.
Apple is doing a great job of staying in the limelight. 25 billion apps download giveaway, iPad 3 release on March 7th, inside view of Foxconn, the praise of Apples high employment, and last but not least Apples $545 stock price.
