3G Unrestrictor Updated To v2.3 – Fully Compatible With iOS 4.1

On October 17, 2010, by Dusty

The popular application tweak, 3G Unrestrictor, has been updated to version 2.3 adding support for FaceTime over 3G on iOS 4.1. For those who are unfamiliar with 3G Unrestrictor, it’s similar to My3G, allowing certain WiFi restricted applications to work over your 3G data network. For instance, Apple’s App Store and iTunes applications limit your file download size over 3G. 3G Unrestrictor removes this limitation.

What you can do with 3G Unrestrictor:

  • Make and receive FaceTime calls while on the go on 3G!
  • Watch high quality YouTube videos, just like on WiFi
  • Download apps bigger than 20MB from the AppStore
  • Download music, TV shows and podcasts bigger than 20MB from the iTunes Store
  • Make free calls using VoIP software like Skype without additional fees
  • Watch TV with SlingPlayer, HavaPlayer, EyeTV, Sky Mobile TV or other TV apps
  • And much, much more since 3G Unrestrictor works with almost all apps (Check out the verified apps section to see with which apps 3G Unrestrictor DEFINITELY works!

Features:

  • Works with almost all applications (check the verified apps list to see which apps DEFINITELY work)
  • SBSettings toggle: Quickly enable and disable whether apps should be unrestricted
  • Can detect when application might be trying to check whether they are on 3G and ask whether you want to unrestrict them(disabled by default)
  • Easy to use interface where you select apps that should be unrestricted

Note: Supports iPhone 2G, 3GS, 4 and iPad 3G models. Firmware 3.0+ is required to be able to install 3G Unrestrictor. It is fully compatible with iOS 4.

3G Unrestrictor is available in the Cydia Store via BigBoss repository for $3.99
