Samsung Announces Galaxy Tab 2 With Android 4.0 And 7-Inch Display

Samsung has gone ahead and announced another new tablet, adding a member to its already packed clan. The Galaxy Tab 2 as Sammy calls it, runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and has a 7 inch display. This is, however, the first tablet from Samsung that comes with Android 4.0 that is prettied up with the latest TouchWiz UI.

The specifications of this tablet remains somewhat similar to the original Samsung Galaxy Tab. The Tab 2 has a 7 inch WSVGA display, 1GHz dual-core processor and 1GB RAM. It also features a 3 megapixel rear-facing fixed focus camera, a VGA front camera, Wi-Fi, 3G, HSPA+ support, Bluetooth 3.0. Storage options come in a 16GB or 32GB internal memory and a microSD card slot.

Two years ago, Samsung GALAXY Tab began to offer customers more possibilities on the go. Since then, Samsung has actively enhanced our tablet line-up with several tablets in different sizes. The new GALAXY Tab 2 (7.0) will provide people with delighted multimedia experience and allow efficient communication.

We have no idea what gap this tablet is going to fill, because there already are two tablets that have the same display size. The tablet is supposed to release in the UK in the month of March followed by other countries. What do you think this tablet is for?
